Dr. Edward Boughton
Co-founder/CEO
Dr Edward Boughton is an experienced quantum technology leader specialising in the translation of advanced physics into deployable engineered systems. Over more than a decade, he has led major multi-partner quantum technology programmes across sensing, timing, navigation and enabling hardware, with a strong focus on system integration, productisation and real-world deployment. At Nitorion, he leads programme execution, commercialisation and systems engineering, bringing the delivery discipline required to turn breakthrough ion-cavity research into reliable quantum networking products.

Professor Matthias Keller
Co-founder/CTO
Prof. Matthias Keller is a world-leading expert in ion-photon interfaces and a pioneer in the development of cavity-based quantum networking technologies. Throughout his career, he has led the development of multiple breakthrough ion-cavity systems and innovative approaches to reliable quantum communication. His work forms the technological foundation of Nitorion’s Quantum Networking Node. Through his work on portable atomic clocks and vacuum technology, he has developed deep expertise in compact laser systems and vacuum packaging, crucial technologies for the Nitorion Quantum Networking Node.
